Located Northwest of Toronto, Georgian Bay is a section of Lake Huron, as well as the southern part of the Great Canadian Shield.
First explored and mapped by Samuel De Champlain at the beginning of the 1600s, the coastlines of Georgian Bay were a key trading route named after King George IV in the early 1800s. Declared, as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2004. Georgian Bay is surrounded by the natural beauty between Lake Huron and the geological “Blue Mountains Formation”. This charming village is truly an all-seasons destination resort and offers a vast array of activities for everyone.
Your pick-up location will be your hotel or any other address, the same as your drop-off location or anywhere in the downtown area.
In about 90 minutes from Toronto, Blue Mountain Village is at the foot of the mountain. Within a few steps passing by some charming buildings, you will arrive at the entrance to board the open-air gondola where you can purchase your admission up to the summit. Once at the top, the breathtaking views of Georgian Bay will overtake your senses with the majestic beauty of the scenery. You will be looking at what is considered the second largest of the Great Lakes. Continuing with the tour, a visit to Wasaga Beach which is the longest freshwater beach in the world at 14 Km in length.
