First explored and mapped by Samuel De Champlain at the beginning of the 1600s, the coastlines of Georgian Bay were a key trading route and named after King George IV in the early 1800s. Declared, as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2004. Georgian Bay is surrounded by the natural beauty between Lake Huron and the geological “Blue Mountains Formation”.
